In Rivalto, in the heart of Tuscany

Amaltea is located in the Poggi valley, just above the village of Rivalto. We are in the southern part of Valdera at an altitude of about 380 meters, near the Rio Maggiore stream. It is an area of relatively unspoiled forests, an ideal place for a quiet vacation in Tuscany, as it is easy to reach both the Tuscan seaside and the most beautiful Italian art cities such as Florence and Pisa.

It’s great to know that there are lesser-known but equally fascinating places in the area, such as freshwater springs and rivers where it’s nice to take a walk or cool off with a swim during the summer. (photos of Ghiaccione and Rio Grande spring)
